Gearbox 1008 Overhaul, HVOF Shaft Repair and Fan Refurbishment
Synergy Services was awarded a 2026 work package for the site combining gearbox overhaul with restoration of the connected fan and drive components.
Documented work package
- overhaul one gearbox 1008;
- dismantle, clean and PT inspect the reducer;
- replace bearings, oil seals, gasket, O-ring and casing fasteners;
- HVOF thermal-spray restoration of high- and low-speed gear shafts using SUS420 material;
- workshop setup and test run;
- remove/reinstall gearbox, fan and drive shaft;
- alignment, fan pitch, tip-clearance and tip-track checks;
- vibration measurement and test run after installation;
- refurbish a six-blade 6,705 mm FRP fan;
- repair damaged blade material, apply protective coating and balance blade weights;
- coat the fan hub and drive shaft.
