ET2 Cooling Tower Structure Repair and Drift Eliminator Replacement
April 20, 2026
The final service workbook for the pulp-and-paper site documents repair work inside cooling tower ET2, combining structural support replacement, grid-fill support work, drift-eliminator replacement and cleaning.
Documented scope
replace FRP C-channel members used to hang the grid fill;
replace FRP C-channel supports at the hot-water basin;
repair and level grid-fill support;
replace one cell of drift eliminators;
install TCI-X-1200 cellular-type drift eliminators; and
clean inside the cooling tower.
The project illustrates why cooling-tower refurbishment often crosses several disciplines. A deteriorated internal support member can affect fill elevation, water distribution, access and the condition of neighboring components, so the repair plan treated the internal structure and air/water-management components together.
